A bigger task today. Think a 90k task to the pic de burgh and back via st.Genis. A hard`task considering the strengthening southerly wind.
Got straight to cloudbase no problem and again downwind at st. genis. Got low on Azure as well as my dad so we were scratching around for 45 minutes gaining bits of lift here and there but nothing was really penetrating the inversion. Eventually caught something to cloudbase and followed the convergence by mistake in the valley on a glide all the way through and past Veynes.
My dad landed by Veynes which was a good effort.

Made it to the pic de burgh about half way up and stayed at that altitude for 20 or so minutes trynna scratch around with patchy bits of lift. By this time, I was pretty tired having been in the air for over 2 hours and my harness was killing me so I landed on some big plateau at the foot of the hill. A bit of a stupid thing to do really as the retrieve took bloody ages but still a good flight and finished around 10th for the day.
